Walker

These models are part of a long runing series of small walking robots collectively built by contributors to the Technic discussion on Lugnet.

I came up with this particular design after reading a book about Marion Power Shovel's walking draglines.

A few overal views:

A couple of movies: in the first one, it is supposed to walk in a strait line, but the electrical wires pull on it and it ends up moving along a circle... In the second movie, it rotates and walks, this time I held the wires up, so it behaves properly. Movie 1 and Movie 2

I also tried to build a walker based on each kind of motor I own:
