The steam locomotive visits only during Rail Fair. During the rest of the year, motive power for the passenger trains is provided by horses.

This four wheel flat car is a replica of the one used for pulling freight cars with horses along the South Pacific Coast RR branch line from Newark to Centerville (now part of Fremont).

All the switches are stub-end type. A future car barn will even include a three way switch.

This short section of dual gauge track is used on occasion to run standard gauge hand cars.
